James Mikel McEwen

Mike McEwen has lived in the West Michigan area his entire life. He attended Western Michigan University for his undergraduate studies and graduated from Wayne State University Law School. Mike began his private law practice in 1996.

Tayler Graver

Tayler joined McEwen Law in August, 2023. Prior to this, Tayler was a law clerk in the Allegan County Circuit Court where she gained experience in family law and criminal law. After receiving her A.A. from Lake Michigan College where she studied psychology, Tayler went on to receive her B.A. from Notre Dame College focusing on psychology and criminal justice. Tayler continued her education and received her J.D. from Michigan State University. Born and raised in West Michigan, Tayler is committed to helping those in her community.

Meet Our Office Support Staff

Alysia Seaver

Starting her career in the legal field as a receptionist, Alysia quickly advanced through dedication and hard work, earning an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Paralegal Studies. Now serving as a legal assistant/paralegal to Attorney McEwen, she is the newest addition to the firm. A recent transplant from Iowa, she brings over six years of experience in the legal profession. Some of her many duties include performing legal research, drafting legal documents, communicating with clients, and aiding in the legal process every step of the way to ensure smooth and successful case outcomes.

Callie Vaden

Callie joined the office in March 2025, bringing with her over seven years of administrative experience and a strong foundation in client-focused service. With an additional four years working in the mental health field, Callie offers a thoughtful, empathetic approach to supporting clients and legal staff alike.

Lindsey Hole

Lindsey is a legal secretary and has worked for Mike for eight years. She is the first person you will see when you walk through the door of our office. She is a lifelong resident of the area with strong ties to the community. She prepares and files legal documents, manages legal files, coordinates schedule and communications, and provides information and support to clients. Her role is crucial and an essential part of the team providing strong organizational and technical support to ensure efficiency of the office.

Amber Belka

Amber has been a legal secretary for McEwen Law office since November of 2023. She has a passion for helping people and has been in customer service in every role she has held. Amber is a Plainwell graduate and has an associate’s degree from Kalamazoo Valley Community College. While she did not study law, she has a passion for learning and loves being able to help clients through the legal process with a supportive and uplifting demeanor. Amber often helps with scheduling, organizing and managing files, drafting and filing documents with the court, drafting wills, power of attorney and deeds, and communicating with clients.
